THE LOVES OF AARON BURR CROSS WRITTEN SCARF
The breath taking account of Leonora Sansay
written to Aaron Burr on May 6, 1803 summarizing
all of her adventures upon arrival in Cape Francois, Haiti.
Produced in Italy on a light, nearly translucent silk
like the onion skin paper used in creating artworks
for the exhibition. Like the cross written letters
created by Camilla Huey there is no wrong side.
This scarf is framed with a black silk satin
charmeuse border, double hemmed attaching to
the center square in a couture finish. Combining
letter writing arts from the past with a contempory
sensibility.
100% Silk. Imported. 36” X 36” hand hemmed.
